Debut win for Distorted Humor $2M sale grad

Distorted Humor’s 2-year-old colt Forward March , a $2.05 million Keeneland September yearling sales grad, debuted with an eye-catching five length win Sept. 5 at Monmouth Park. Distorted Humor is North America’s leading sire of stakes winners in 2011 with 13 to date.

Forward March lived up to his name, striding to the front right at the outset of the six furlongs; he widened throughout the race to win with plenty in reserve in 1:11.80.

Flaxman Holdings Limited bred the winner in Kentucky. He is out of the unraced mare Angel’s Nest, who is out of the incomparable multiple champion grass mare Miesque, who is the dam of East of the Moon, Kingmambo, Mingun, Miesque’s Son and Moon Is Up, all whom are either champions or group/graded winners.

Flagg Lake II LLC was the winning bidder for the colt, who was the top-selling yearling for his sire in 2010 and was the second-highest price overall at the Keeneland sale.
