Herald Angel became Exaggerator latest first-crop winner, his seventh, on Oct. 10 with a gate-to-wire score at Belmont Park.
The 2-year-old filly won the six-furlong maiden special weight contest on the inner turf by 2 1/2-lengths without ever being seriously threatened by any of her foes after the first quarter-mile. She covered the distance on the firm turf in a very solid 1:09.82.
Herald Angel is owned by Three Diamonds Farm and was bred in New York by Hidden Lake Farm. She is the first foal out of the stakes-placed mare Holiday Wishes. This is the family of Grade 2 winner and Kentucky Derby (G1) runner-up Proud Citizen.
