Tourrista’s maiden special weight win on July 27 gave Tourist his third winner from his first crop, tying him with Exaggerator and Speightster for the second-most on the Freshman Sire list.
Tourrista, owned by Anastasia and Vanessa Camperlengo, won the 4 1/2-furlong contest for 2-year-olds at Mountaineer Park by three lengths, leading virtually the entire trip.
The winner was bred in Kentucky by St. Simon Place. She is the first foal out of the Street Boss mare Carrington Event, while her third dam is Grade 1 winner Tarlow.
