Sharing, winner of the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) in November, was named the top Midlantic-bred of 2019 by voters in the Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred/The Racing Biz Top Midlantic-bred Poll.
The Speightstown filly also won the $200,000 Selima S. at Laurel Park and a Saratoga maiden special weight by 6 1/4-lengths in August. Overall, she is 3-0-1 in four starts and has earned $730,300 for Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Gainesway Stable.
Bred in Maryland by Sagamore Farm, she is a daughter of Shared Account, who also tasted Breeders’ Cup success in the Filly and Mare Turf (G1). Shared Account is also the dam of stakes winner Riley’s Choice.
Sharing, who is an Eclipse Award finalist in the 2-year-old filly division, was one of Speightstown’s 14 stakes winners last year and helped propel him into the top 10 on the General Sire list, with $10.9 million in progeny earnings.
