Midway through the Sept. 19 session of the Keeneland September Yearling sale Constitution’s $200,000 colt was the second-highest price of the day.
Taylor Made Sales Agency consigned the colt, hip No. 3232, while the Solis/Litt partnership signed the ticket for the Kentucky-bred bay.
Out of the stakes-winning Speightstown mare Cougarstown, the colt is a half-brother to the More Than Ready filly Elevenes.
Constitution has had 10 lots bring at least $200,000 at this point of the sale, topped by a $400,000 colt named Citizen Soldier, which sold last Friday.
Constitution’s first 2-year-olds are racing this year and have performed brilliantly, already accounting for two graded stakes wins and 12 winners overall, ranking him second on the Freshman Sire list.
