Powerfulattraction, a 2-year-old bay filly by first-crop stallion Commissioner, became her sire’s newest winner with a 1 ¼-length triumph in a maiden special weight at Los Alamitos on Saturday. The $225,000 OBS March graduate stalked the early pace three deep and rallied strongly through the stretch under Joe Talamo to post the victory in her career debut.
Bred in Arkansas by McDowell Farm, Powerfulattraction is owned by Exline-Border Racing, Robin Christensen, Steve Dorman, Dan Hudock, and Susanna Wilson. Peter Eurton trains the filly who is out of the Seeking the Gold mare Magnet. Powerfulattraction is Commissioner’s third winner, joining additional maiden special weight winners Go Van Go and Two Last Words.
