WinStar Farm’s freshman sire Daredevil’s first 2-year-old to sell at auction brought a winning bid of $155,000 during Tuesday’s session of the March 12-13 OBS 2-year-olds in Training sale in Ocala.
The filly, hip No. 136, was consigned by de Meric Sales, agent, and went to Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners. She had worked an eighth-mile in a crisp 10 seconds flat during last week’s Under Tack show.
The dark bay Kentucky-bred is out of Divine Gift, an half-sister to stakes winner Lulu Wong.
Daredevil, a Grade 1-winning son of More Than Ready, has two colts and a filly in Wednesday’s closing session of the auction.
