Anuket, a $575,000 yearling purchase in 2017, delivered a sensational performance in her Dec.30 debut at Santa Anita Park, cruising to a 4 1/4-length victory for high-profile connections Juddmonte Farm and trainer Bob Baffert.
Bred by Town & Country Horse Farms and Pollock Farms, the 2-year-old filly is Pioneerof the Nile’s fourth TDN Rising Star. Previous Rising Stars by the WinStar stallion include the multiple graded stakes winner Jojo Warrior and the Grade 1-placed fillies Mother Mother and American Cleopatra.
Anuket prompted the pace early on, and despite a four-wide trip around the turn, was on even terms for the lead at the top of the stretch before pulling away easily under a hand ride to get the six furlongs in 1:10.59 -[WATCH RACE].
Anuket is out of the graded stakes-placed Tapit mare Rashnaa.
