Tomlin drew off to a 2 1/2-length win in the Nov. 23 Golden Gate Debutante S. to give the 2-year-old Distorted Humor filly her first stakes win and third in five lifetime starts.
The win comes one day of Five Star General, another Distorted Humor 2-year-old, got his first stakes win in the $100,000 Central Park S. at Aqueduct.
Tomlin tussled with Boomchicaboom through the first half-mile, which went in :45.41 before she pulled away in upper stretch and hit the wire in 1:09.88 for the six furlongs.
Tomlin is owned by Fairview LLC and was bred in Kentucky by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings. Her dam Belle of Perintown won the Silverbulletday S. (G2) and is the dam of Boiling Springs S. (G3) winner Strike It Rich.
