Not Fake News rolled home a 5 1/2-length maiden special weight winner March 3 at Penn National, giving 2017’s number one first-crop sire Overanalyze his tenth winner this year.
Not Fake News was much the best in the one mile and 70 yard contest, leading the entire trip, and drawing off in the final quarter mile for an easy win.
The winner is owned by Blackjack Stable and bred by Three Lyons Racing LLC. The dark bay colt is the first foal out of Temptation Bound, who is a sister to a pair of stakes winners.
Overanalyze led all Freshman Sires last year with $1.64 million in progeny earnings and four stakes winners, and ranked second by black type horses, repeat winners, and winners.
