Glenn Brok made a winning bid of $260,000 for a Tiznow colt at the Feb. 5-6 Fasig-Tipton Winter Mixed Sale in Kentucky, marking the highest price paid for a yearling during the two-day auction.
Blake-Albina Thoroughbred Services consigned the colt, hip No. 419, for C & S.
“He looks like he could be any kind,” said Ron Blake. “They (breeders Fredericka Caldwell and Mitchel Skolnick) are going to breed the mare back to Tiznow. She has already had two stakes horses. We are very happy with him and very happy with what he sold for.”
The bay colt is out of the Tapit mare See Rock City, who has already produced a pair of stakes-placed winners from four runners. See Rock City herself is also a sister to a pair of stakes winners and is from the same family as Grade 1-winning millionaire Star Standard.
