A filly by leading sire Speightstown brought a winning bid of $500,000 during Wednesday’s session of the 2017 Keeneland November Sale, which runs Nov. 7-18.
The price was the second-highest paid for a weanling filly during the session
Cataloged as hip No. 185, the filly was consigned by Denali Stud and went to Shadwell Estate Company, Ltd. The regally-bred chestnut is out of the Galileo mare Wonderful (IRE) and is a full sister to the brilliant Magician (IRE), as well as Group winner Apple Betty (IRE) and the Grade 1-place Outstanding (IRE).
