Mayas Queen Neetee cruised to a 5 3/4-length victory in Saturday’s $150,000 Distaff S. at Belterra Park on Saturday afternoon. The 5-year-old Speightstown mare has won six of her nine starts and two stakes in 2017.
She is one of Speightstown’s 12 North American stakes winners this year. He currently has 126 individual winners to date this year, which ranks sixth among all active North American sires.
Mayas Queen Neetee got an excellent stalking trip in the 1 1/8-mile Distaff, laying in second before taking over for good with three furlongs to run. She came home an easy winner in 1:51. 10 on the fast main track (VIDEO).
The winner is owned by Loooch Racing Stable and has now earned $230,292. She was bred by Antsu Stable and is a daughter of Grade 2 winner The Niagara Queen.
