Fed Biz, a top-five First-Crop yearling average sire, was represented by one of the leading colts during Tuesday’s session of the Keeneland Yearling sale, with Bruno DeBerdt placing a winning bid of $175,000 for the dark bay colt.
Taylor Made Sales Agency was the consignor of hip No. 2582, the first foal out of the Sharp Humor mare One Hot Senorita. The mare is a half-sister to Distaff H. (G2) winner Nicole H and is from the same family as two-time champion sprinter Housebuster.
Including Tuesday’s results, Fed Biz’s 2017 yearling sales average of $109,116 is nearly 11 times his stud fee. He has 16 lots remaining in the sale, which runs through Sept. 23.
