One day after having a $500,000 colt at the Aug. 7-8 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearlings sale, Tiznow’s Tuesday returns included a $450,000 colt by the champion WinStar stallion.
Tiznow closed the sale with an average price of $356,667, just above his overall 2017 yearling sales average of $332,500.
James Herbener, Jr., agent consigned the $450,000 colt, hip No. 191, which sold to Kenju Ryotokuji. The dark bay’s dam, Garden District, won the the Grade 3 Debutante S. at Churchill Downs. All four of her runners are winner, including the stakes-placed filly Heartspoke. Garden District is a half-sister to Blue Grass S. (G1) runner-up and Classic-placed Medal Count.
