Aim Spot was on target in her maiden special weight debut Tuesday at Louisiana Downs, tallying an impressive 5 ½-length victory in the 4 ½-furlong contest for 2-year-old fillies (VIDEO).
Aim Spot gave Overanalyze his 10th winner from his first crop of runners, three more than any other Freshman Sire standing in North America. In addition, two winners have come back to perform very well in stakes: Psychoanalyze was third in the $150,000 Sanford S. (G3) this past Saturday, while Analyze the Odds had a similar finish in the $100,000 Rockville Center S. July 15 at Belmont Park.
At the break, Aim Spot took a bit of time to get in stride, but once she settled, she quickly began to advance, passing horses on the turn, then rolled by Joji in mid-stretch to win going away.
The winner is a Big Aut Farms homebred and is the first foal out of their mare Aut’s Maddie.
