Gemsaresparkling bested a field of 3-year-old sprinting fillies on Saturday to earn her diploma in her second career start at Belterra Park.
The daughter of Gemologist, bred by Gabriel Duignan and Lemons Mill Farm, is out of the mare Dreamscape, who has produced a pair of stakes winners and is a full sister to Hall of Famer and Champion Sprinter Housebuster, as well as Grade 2 winner Quero Quero.
Gemologist has been one of the more prolific Second-Crop sires of winners in 2017, with 19 to date, and is a top-10 sire this year after finishing 2016 ranked fifth on the Freshman Sire list.
