A Super Saver filly brought $290,000 during the first day of the May 22-23 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training sale, one of the top-10 prices during Monday’s session.
The bay filly, hip No. 220, was consigned by Kirkwood Stables, agent and went to prominent owner Ralph M. Evans.
The Kentucky-bred is out of the stakes-winning Yes It’s True mare Wish It Were and is a half-sister to Spectacular Bid S. winner Ancient Rome.
Super Saver, the Number One-ranked Cumulative Third-Crop Sire of 2016, is represented this year by Oaklawn H. (G2) winner Inside Straight and the multiple graded stakes-placed 3-year-old colt Hedge Fund.
