Super Saver filly “Dynamite” in debut

Stonestreet Stables’ Dynamite Charge was flawless in her Santa Anita Park maiden special weight debut on July 4, coming home a 4 1/4-length winner while giving her sire Super Saver his fourth TDN Rising Star.

The Doug O’Neill trainee was in a bit of a speed duel early on in the 5 1/2-furlong contest, but began to edge clear after a quarter-mile in a lively :21.85. Joeckey Mario Gutierrez took the bay filly in hand late as he coasted under the wire in 1:04.56 (VIDEO).

The winner, a $105,000 Keeneland September Yearling sales grad in 2015, was bred in Florida by Big C Farm.

Sire of last year’s Eclipse Champion Sprinter Runhappy, Super Saver’s other Rising Stars include Grade 1 winner and sire Competitive Edge, graded stakes winner Super Majesty, and the 2-year-old colt Random Walk, who earned a gaudy 90 Beyer Speed Figure in his maiden special weight debut June 3 at Belmont Park.
