Stirring finish for Coastline in Clocker’s Corner S.

Speightstown’s talented and consistent son Coastline notched the second stakes win of his career Sunday in Santa Anita Park’s $75,000 Clocker’s Corner S., winning the downhill, about 6 ½-furlong turf contest by 1 ¼-lengths with a big surge in the final furlong.

The final time of 1:06.25 earned the big gray a lifetime best Beyer Speed Figure of 95. Owned by Agave Racing Stable and Jaam Racing Inc., Coastline is now 5-3-3 in 19 starts with earnings of $336,806.

Coastline is out of the El Amante mare Culinary, a Grade 3 winner of $271,680. He was bred in Kentucky by DATTT Farm and sold for $190,000 at the 2012 Keeneland September sale.

Coastline is Speightstown’s third stakes winner of the year, another great start for the WinStar stallion who has been a top-10 General Sire for the past six years.
