First foal is a filly for Fed Biz

Fed Biz, the multiple Grade 2 winner & multiple track record-setter by Giant’s Causeway, sired his first reported foal on Sunday, Jan. 3rd when a dark bay or brown filly was born at Brandywine Farm in Paris,  KY.

Bred by Jim and Pam Robinson, the filly is out of the young Distorted Humor mare Exotic Bloom, who hails from the immediate family of champion One Cool Cat and Grade 1 winner Aragorn.

“This filly has plenty of substance, personality and good bone,” said Pam Robinson. “She is as cute as a button but solid as a rock.”

On the racetrack, Fed Biz scored his biggest career victories in the San Fernando S. (G2), Pat O’Brien S. (G2), and San Diego H. (G2), setting track records in the latter two at Del Mar. He hails from the Wild Again mare Spunoutacontrol, a stakes-winning half-sister to Tale of the Cat and Myth, the dam of Johannesburg. Fed Biz’s second dam, Yarn, is a full sister to the dam of Pulpit.

“We’re extremely excited for the Fed Biz foals,” said Elliott Walden, WinStar President & CEO. “He showed brilliance on the track, has a true stallion’s pedigree, and the looks to match his $950,000 price tag. He was received extremely well by breeders last year, and the support has continued this season. We have full confidence that having his foals on the ground will only add to his popularity.”

Fed Biz covered 147 mares in his first season at stud in 2015. He’s set to stand his second season at WinStar for a fee of $12,500 stands and nurses.
