Nemoralia entered in $1M Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1)

More Than Ready, already the sire of three Breeders’ Cup winners, will be represented in this year’s Breeders’ Cup on Friday when Nemoralia goes postward in the $1 million Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1).

Based in England for her first four starts, the Jeremy Noseda trainee broke her maiden on an artificial track, then came back to take a six furlong turf handicap in very handy fashion. Shipped to the U. S. for the Frizette (G1), the dark bay filly proved she could handle any conditions when she finished second to the highly regarded Nickname over a very sloppy Belmont Park main track.

Nemoralia drew post nine in the field of 14 and one also-eligible for Friday’s one mile contest. She’ll be ridden by Joel Rosario, who was aboard in the Frizette.

More Than Ready has already tasted success in the Juvenile Fillies Turf in 2010 when More Than Real proved victorious. His other Breeders’ Cup winners were Pluck in the 2010 Juvenile Turf and Regally Ready in the 2011 Turf Sprint.

With 12 Breeders’ Cup Starters to date, More Than Ready has had 10 of them finish in the top 5, earning $2,126,900.

Friday’s Juvenile Fillies Turf, race 8, has a scheduled post time of 4:50 p.m. ET.
