G1-winning millionaire Overanalyze’s first foal is a filly

WinStar Farm’s Overanalyze, the Grade 1-winning millionaire by Dixie Union, sired his first foal early Sunday, Jan. 18th when a filly was born at Red River Farm in Coushatta, LA.

Bred by Jim and Heidi Maikranz of 4M Ranch, the chestnut filly is out of the Congrats mare Happy Destiny, a daughter of multiple graded stakes winner Dance O’My Life.

Campaigned by owner Repole Stable and trainer Todd Pletcher, Overanalyze was one of the top 2-year-olds of his crop, winning the five-furlong Futurity S. (G2) at Belmont and nine-furlong Remsen S. (G2) at Aqueduct. He captured his biggest victory as a 3-year-old, decisively winning the $1 million Arkansas Derby (G1) at Oaklawn. Overanalyze retired with earnings of $1,046,381.

Overanalyze bred 151 mares in his first book in 2014, which marked one of the most popular books for a first-year stallion. He’s set to stand his second season at WinStar in 2015 for a fee of $10,000 stands and nurses.
