Another Belmont MSW winner for ‘Pioneer’

Cairo Prince became Pioneerof the Nile’s latest impressive winner on Oct. 6 when the 2-year-old colt won a $70,000 Maiden Special Weight by 2 ¾ lengths at Belmont Park. The colt’s victory gave his sire 10 winners to date, and the fourth eye-catching Maiden Special Weight win in New York, with three at Belmont and another at Saratoga.

Cairo Prince is a gray or roan out of the Holy Bull mare Holy Bubbette, and sold for $250,000 at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. The colt was bred by Richard and Katherine Elam.

Pioneerof the Nile ranks second among all North American Freshman Sires by winners, and first in the sales ring, with a 2013 yearling average of $103,194.
