International superstar More Than Ready sired his 123rd career stakes winner when War battled to victory in the A$125,000 Ibis Styles Up and Coming H. (G3) in Australia on August 24th.
Three-year-old War became More Than Ready’s 14th stakes winner, 10th Group/Graded winner of 2013, with his triumph in the 6 1/2-furlong stakes in Sydney. Bred by Strawberry Hill Stud and trained by Gai Waterhouse, War sold for A$500,000 at the 2012 Inglis Yearling Sale.
Champion Sire More Than Ready has now sired 123 stakes winners and earners of well over $101 million worldwide. In 2013, he has sired eight stakes winners in Australia, five in the U.S., and one in France. He stood the 2013 season at WinStar for $60,000 live foal.
