‘Llama’ wins Saratoga’s G2 Hall of Fame, third straight stakes

Harlan’s Holiday’s 3-year-old colt Notacatbutallama continued his impressive summer run of stakes victories, this time in Friday’s Hall of Fame S. (G2) at Saratoga, earning his third straight stakes triumph.

Trained by Todd Pletcher for Repole Stable, Notacatbutallama proved best in the 1 1/8-mile feature on Friday, which also marked as his second graded stakes win this summer in New York. In June, the bay colt was victorious in the Hill Prince S. (G3) at Belmont, and he captured the Solar Splendor S. there in the interim.

As a 2-year-old, Notacatbutallama was a two-time stakes winner, giving him a total of five stakes wins already in his young and promising career. He owns six wins from a dozen career starts with earnings of $488,334.

In the race prior to the Hall of Fame S., Harlan’s Holiday also had an impressive 2-year-old maiden winner when his rising filly Duff One graduated in a Maiden Special Weight on the main track. The filly hails from the Tiznow mare Acadiana and was bred and sold by WinStar.
