Pure Prize’s top Argentine filly continued her graded stakes hot streak with a victory on July 27 in the Grade 2 I. Correas S. in Argentina. Pure Prize, who stood this year at WinStar this year for $7,500 LFS&N, now has a total of 11 Grade 1 winners, with a total of 19 G1 wins, to his credit.
Candy Marie led the way in the “about” 1 9/16-mile contest, prevailing by a half-length, with Via Los Andes in second and Kill Me Now taking the show spot. The final time over the fast going was 2:36.76.
Four-year-old Candy Marie is 6-4-1 in 15 starts, all in Argentina. She is a five-time stakes winner, all in graded company, in 2013.
