$400K Harlan’s Holiday weanling at KEENOV

A weanling colt by 2012 leading juvenile sire Harlan’s Holiday was purchased for $400,000 by Shadwell during the second session of the Keeneland November sale on Nov. 7.

Selling as Hip No. 364, the attractive bay colt out of the Mineshaft mare Breathtaking sold as the third highest weanling colt at Keeneland November, and continued the momentum of his sire Harlan’s Holiday who is enjoying a sensational year with his progeny on the track and in the sales ring.

Harlan’s Holiday already has five juvenile stakes winners in 2012, led by undefeated multiple Grade 1 winner Shanghai Bobby, who recently sealed Eclipse Champion 2-Year-Old Male honors with a win in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) last Saturday at Santa Anita.

Among his other sales horses in 2012 include 23 yearlings that brought six figures at public auction, featuring many purchases by prominent buyers like Shadwell.

Harlan’s Holiday will stand for $35,000 stands and nurses in 2013.
