A colt from the first crop of Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Always Dreaming sold for $245,000 during the second session of the April 19-22 OBS Spring 2-year-old sale, one of two six-figure juveniles for the WinStar stallion.
After posting a quick furlong of :10 1/5 seconds during the Under Tack show, the colt from the S V G Thoroughbreds LLC consignment, hip No. 565, sold to Shepherd Equine Advisors for Larry Hirsch.
The dark bay Kentucky-bred is out of the Indian Charlie mare Indian Princess, who is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Carbonite.
Always Dreaming has nine lots remaining in the auction over the final two days of the sale. He will be represented by his first runner on April 25 by Amira Wins in a maiden special weight race at Parx.
