19th G1 SW for More Than Ready

More Than Ready sired his 19th career Group/Grade 1 winner on May 23rd when Sheikh Hamdan’s Entisaar won the Allan Roberston Championship (G1) at Scottsville Race Course in South Africa.

The Australian-bred juvenile, recently crowned Champion Two-Year-Old Filly in South Africa, carried 132 pounds in the Robertson, while defeating 15 other top fillies. Time for the six furlongs on turf was a swift 1:10.18, and the victory was Entisaar’s third in a stakes, following the South Africa Fillies Nursery (G2) and Ruffian S. (L).

Trained by Michael De Kock, Entisaar has a record of 4-3-1-0 and R$758,750 in earnings, with her lone second coming in the Pretty Polly S. (G2). She was purchased by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum for AU $300,000 at the 2014 Inglis yearling sale. Entisaar is expected to leave South Africa and join De Kock’s international stable, with bases including Australia, Europe, the Far East, and North America.

More Than Ready has sired 19 stakes horses, 10 stakes winners and earners of $4,200,000 worldwide this year. He is standing the 2015 season at WinStar for $50,000 live foal.
