The final day of the April 25-28 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training included a $200,000 Bodemeister filly purchased by Gary Contessa, agent for Sean Shay.
Cutting Edge Equine, agent consigned the filly, hip No. 972. Her dam, Ronda’s Bridge, has had three foals to race, all winners. Ronda’s Bridge is a half-sister to License Fee, a four-time graded stakes winner of more than $1.2 million.
Bodemeister’s 2-year-olds have averaged $169,000 to date at auction this year, second-best for any Second-Crop Sire in 2017.
